Nature’s Gifts

There are gentle streaks

of snow white clouds in the sky,

like undulating waves of the sea,

which turn to a soft glowing 

pink as the sunrises,

enveloping the sky

with intense light –

a blessing in this

transient moment

9 pm

Gazing at the illuminated

yellow orb of the moon,

I feel its magnetic gravitas

in the North-Eastern sky,

as I make a vow to really

observe the wonders 

of the world around me,

with awe and sensitivity,

seeing beauty and intricacy 

in the natural world
